I’m *so* glad we unlocked the Basho and Norsa short on KickStarter. I’ve been itching to draw this for a while!

I have the SFW version scripted, clocking in at 7 pages. I will likely draw these in black and white to get them whipped up quickly (but I am awfully tempted to do color). The SFW version will go up on The Legend of Jamie Roberts’ official site.

The NSFW version will be posting on the Red Light segment of the newsletter. I have some ideas on how to run this segment but also keep it separate from the main newsletter. Because, well, my newsletter has an archive that automatically updates on the Fantasyville website. And it gets *all* the emails I send, including the public and the member-only segments. Because of that, I have some workarounds in mind. So if you are interested in the NSFW portion of the short, let me know by replying to this email. (All replies only send to me.) That way I can add you to the Red Light recipient list.

While we’re talking about The Legend of Jamie Roberts, chapter 13’s launch is getting delayed. I need to rewrite it – the original draft is just *so sloppy* in my opinion. So I’m going back over it to keep it simple and trim the stuff that the story doesn’t need.

To that end, I’m going to delay any updates on the official site for a while. Then, starting on Wednesday, December 3, the Basho and Norsa short will start posting on there.

The reason I can dedicate this time is this: the new day job starts on the 18th. BUT so far it looks like it’s all virtual stuff and not in-person office work. When speaking with the manager, it sounded like the in-person stuff doesn’t start for another few weeks. So to some extent, I may still be able to control the schedule, which is so freaking nice. At least for now.

Is it bad that I already have a mini-print roughly figured out? Because I finally took this sketch…

Also, the quarterly zine will get worked on soon. Since I was scripting the Basho and Norsa short, I was like, “Well, I batch my tasks together, and since I’m already doing some creative writing, I’ll whip up the first draft of this zine.”
|
The first draft is written! I’m greatly enjoying the writing process. Now, to see if I can handle some crowd scenes…
