An Update on Moving Plans

THE LEGEND OF JAMIE ROBERTS
PAGE 311 Panel 1: wide panel. The trees and bushes frame the shot of Ranki, standing alone by the stump, his sword at his feet. Daniel flees further into the brush. Panel 2: Ranki snaps the arrow off, but the head of the arrow is still in his chest. He grunts in pain. Panel 3: Ranki grabs the arrow jutting out of his dark arm. Panel 4: SNAP. The arrow breaks in half but the arrow head is still in his arm. Panel 5: He glances down at his arm, gritting his teeth. Panel 6: Panels 4, 5, and 7 frame this shot. We see Ranki's arm, black like a Mocktaw, and the darkness creeps higher up, touching his elbow. Panel 7: Close up on Ranki's face as he grimaces at the sight.
VANITA AND THE DEMON KING
PAGE 91 Panel 1: wide panel. Clow, Charlie, and Jared are gathered around Charlie's phone. Charlie says, "Alright. Try to enjoy the rest of your night." Claudia (from the phone) says, "We will. You too. Be safe." Panel 2: Close up on Charlie's hand holding the phone. Charlie says, "'k. Night!" Claudia from the phone says, "Night." And Charlie hangs up. Panel 3: Medium shot of Clow, Charlie, and Jared. Jared says, "You two ever consider operating a detective agency?" Panel 4: Charlie and Clow smirk. Charlie says, "Dude. Our specialty is a little...niche." Panel 5: Medium shot of Jared, "I'm just saying." Panel 6: Wide panel. We zoom out, looking through an apartment window at Charlie, Clow, and Jared in their living room, going back to life as usual.
A few newsletters ago, I wrote about having a Moving Sale at my apartment to re-home some stuff. That plan has changed.

Because, well, I was house-sitting for a friend of mine this last week. During that time, she was kind enough to let me use her Prius while she was away. So I was able to move some of the bigger pieces out (because the trunk of a Prius is surprisingly huge!). I was able to get rid of the Cursed entertainment unit and some other junk that had been cluttering up the space for a while.

Honestly, that's a good thing, because my weekends are now all booked, so better to move all the junk out sooner instead of later. I shouldn't be surprised - it's Nib and Ink Fest month in May, plus Free Comic Book Day AND moving weekend.

Which, the big moving day is May 16. The newsletter schedule should not be affected. The plan is to get some backlog of comic pages done so the webcomic update schedule isn't affected by these changes. But we'll see what happens.

I'm SO looking forward to moving to the new space! It's cozier; it's friendlier on my budget; it's got a balcony so I can do outside gardening again! And I can set it up how I want it, because I'm going to be the only one living there.

Well, the only human. MehtMeht will be moving in around June 2. Su (her current human) and I both agreed that would be best, so that all the furniture will have been moved in by then. I didn't want to have a new cat in a space while assembling and moving big pieces, you know?

CLUB REWARDS

I don't know why I thought I would have a new zine done before May but that ain't happening. I'm prioritizing rest before I jump back into work.

So as far as Club Rewards goes, there will be a MerMay mini-print for the Art Club (which I had waiting for this moment). Sorry Zine Club members, but no new zines or stickers this time around. I'll try to make up for it in June.

That's all for now...
