Basho & Norsa’s Short is Finished!

THE LEGEND OF JAMIE ROBERTS

Panel 1: Basho leans over Norsa, grinning. Norsa is also smiling mischievously. Basho: Oh is THAT how we’re doing this? Norsa: Heh. Panel 2: Basho leans down and the two kiss. Panel 3: Zoom out. We see the bedroom with Basho bent to kiss Norsa on the bed. The late afternoon sun comes in through the window on the left side of the panel.

VANITA AND THE DEMON KING

Panel 1: Wide panel. King, sitting on the floor, leans back on the green couch under the blanket fort. They stare off into the middle distance. King: ...All I want...is to go home. Panel 2: Looking over King’s shoulder, we see Vanita, her expression soft. Vanita: ...Back to the Pit? King nods. Panels 3 and 4 are stacked on top of each other, and show Vanita reach her hand out to hold King’s hand. Panel 5: King is snapped from their trance. Panel 6: Vanita, holding King’s hand, smiles timidly. Vanita: A lot of magic may be lost, but…

Will there be more ~spicy~ stories? Not right away. I want to build up some backlog of pages for The Legend of Jamie Roberts and Vanita and the Demon King first.

It’s my first ever horror story, but the genre is right in my lane. The idea of “this house is sentient and that’s why it’s haunted” is one of my favorite horror niches.

This short will only be 5 pages long. And hand to my heart, I’m doing my best to keep it in black and white without a ton of color to it. (I want to get better at drawing black and white comics, gosh dangit!)

And I made more progress on the Polly Possum sticker!

The plan is to get these printed, trimmed, bundled, and shipped to members by Jan 16. So far I’m on track to making that happen!
