THE LEGEND OF JAMIE ROBERTS

Far to the left we see Daniel in shadow behind one of the twisted trees. Panel 3: We see over Ranki’s shoulder as Jamie charges at him, sword raised and teeth bared in rage. Panel 4: We see over Jamie’s shoulder as they charge at Ranki. Ranki bends down, left hand on the hilt of his sword, teeth bared.

If you read the Friday newsletter, you know this already. But I finally found a new apartment!

I'm going to downsize from a 2-bedroom to a 1-bedroom, possibly an efficiency, depending on the spot that opens up. The new complex is actually run by a company I rented from back from 2023 to mid-2025...just at a different location. I hugely prefer this management company over the one I'm currently renting from.

Before I move, I want to address the question of what will happen to An Ignorance of Romance. Especially since efforts to continue the story lead to Kai leaving harassment on my websites to such an extent that I had to block their IP addresses, emails, etc.

So I'll be putting together a PDF of all the pages and sketches, and then sending them to you in one of these exclusive newsletter updates for you to download. I will also send an email to backers of the Crowdfundr with that download. I owe y'all that much. Keep an eye out for the download to come out towards the end of March.

But after that, I will be rebooting the story with my own twist. A Viking Mercenary's Guide to Falling In Love. I've talked about this comic a few times in past updates. I'm hoping I can start scripting the story once tax season is over, but if I'm able to squeeze in some writing between appointments, I'm definitely doing that. There HAVE been some concept sketches, and I'll have those included in the next Digital Club Zine download in a few weeks!

Here's what I have in mind for the story:

Ingrid Onlidotter is a woman avoiding her wedding by any means necessary - including taking a new job from Duke Charles. His twin children need escorting across the country, so his daughter Christian can be married and his son Patrick can become a monk. But the kids - and Ingrid - have other plans...

Also, there will be a Baba Yaga-esque witch called Mama Bebe. With a house with cat legs. (Shout-out to Heidi for gifting this idea!)
