Holy banana pants. Things are finally starting to look (and feel) better!
This last Tuesday, I signed the lease on the new place. This week and next, I'm packing up my stuff. Yes, that includes the studio. Thankfully I've been able to draw comics again (FREAKING FINALLY) and not have to go to any offices for a full-time job.
I'm still spinning a lot of plates, and I've come to accept that that's just going to be my life for however long those plates will spin. But it's getting more manageable now. And moving to the new place will make things even MORE manageable. Like, I won't be paying out the nose for rent I can't afford, which will be really freaking nice. I was getting really tired of survival mode.
Though, there is one thing I had been putting off, and now I can't do so anymore...
Up until now, I was like, "Oh this will be a nice thing to get, but I don't need it yet." But there are two benefits to a PO Box that I can't ignore:
- Having a place for my business paperwork (and potential fan mail) to go that's not my home address would be great for security reasons.
- And this is the biggest reason, and the reason that made me go, "Ok, I HAVE to get one now..." - because my mother will want to know where to send mail to.
For my own sanity and health, I don't want my family of origin to have my new address. I want to keep my new address to close friends and maybe patrons like you. A PO box will be helpful in mitigating that risk.
As soon as I get a PO Box figured out, I will share that ASAP.
I'm sending out Club rewards early this month. Because this time around, the day I usually mail out rewards is the day I'm moving all the furniture. So, I'd rather take care of you first.

Mini-prints are going to be this mermaid illustration that I had so much fun drawing!

No new zine this month - though I'm getting some new ideas! Instead, I'm bringing back a sticker that I had taken out of stock a while ago.
Moving forward, though, I'm going to start printing stickers with folks like StickerApp. My printer prints GREAT zines, but it's starting to not get along with my sticker paper for whatever reason. Besides, I'd rather have the stickers professionally cut.
