In between trimming and folding zines, I was like, “Oh dang I need to share something behind-the-scenes about The Legend of Jamie Roberts.”
|
So I’m going to share some of the sketches that will be going on the front and back covers of Volume 3!
|
I started putting these sketches on the inside covers in volume 1, and kept it up for volume 2. These sketches were drawn WAY before 2018, when I was hashing out drafts upon drafts of the story.

The Legend of Jamie Roberts is something I’ve been working on since at least 2013, if not longer. So I’m sitting on a LOT of old sketches.

The story has changed a lot since its original inception. You could say it’s becoming something of...Legendary proportions??

Anywho, I have one more update for you.
|
Rewards have been mailed out! As a reminder, rewards have shifted, so only folks pledging at the Art Club are getting monthly mail. Zine Club folks will get mail in December when the quarterly zine is ready to go.

That said, the Digital Zine is coming together, and should be ready by next week! To deliver that to you, I’m actually going to do something different. Instead of using Google Drive or Dropbox, I think I can upload the zine directly on the Fantasyville Productions website and link it that way. We’ll give that a try next week! And if it doesn’t work, just reply to this email and let me know. (It looks like Mailpoet, my new servicer, enables direct replies!)

Alright, I need to get back to getting these zines ready for DC Zine Fest and Richmond Indie Comics Expo. If you’re in the DC area this weekend, I’ll see you there! Otherwise, I’ll be in your inboxes (and mailboxes).
