Vanita and the Demon King is still running Friday updates. If you need to catch up on the story, check out the archives.
PAGE 90 Panel 1: Clow places a hand on Charlie's as she holds the phone. He asks, "Any clue as to what it MIGHT be?" Panel 2: Medium close up on Claudia and Don. Don holds one hand on Claudia's as she holds the phone. Don says, "If I knew for certain, we wouldn't have called." Panel 3: Closer in on Claudia. She says, "Think you could investigate this for us, please?" Panel 4: We look over Charlie's shoulder and down to her phone. She says, "I've got her number. We'll see what we can do." Claudia (on the phone) says, "Thank you! Let's just hope it's not another Halloween incident." Panel 5: At this angle, we see a medium close-up on Charlie and her brother Jared. What Charlie says startles Jared. Charlie says, "Let's hope not. Got anything else that could help us?" Panel 6: Close up on Charlie's phone. Claudia (on the phone) says, "If we think of anything, we'll text you." Charlie (off-panel) says, "Sounds good. I'll keep you posted as we find out more."
The Cartoonist Cooperative - now Cartoonists United - is running Nib and Ink Fest next month! It's an online convention for cartoonists of all stripes to come together for workshops, panels, and even the Minicomic Awards!

I have two workshops AND a panel happening during NIF:
These are all virtual - the links will lead to the official NIF pages where you can save the Zoom links to your calendar of choice.

If you're in the Toledo, OH area, and you want to see me in person, I'll be returning to Toledo Game Room on May 2 for the annual Free Comic Book Day! It's next Saturday! My visit will be done around 2 or 2:30 though so I can be at my first NIF workshop in time. BUT! If you want to meet me in person, May 2 is a good time to do it!

I will also be at Maker's Mart on May 9! It's at Handmade Toledo for a day, and I'll be there with lots of other artists and makers. I will also be running a workshop on English Paper Piecing - a technique to make unique quilts - at Handmade Toledo on May 17!

So, to recap:
  • May 2 - Free Comic Book Day (in-person) AND What Art School Didn't Teach You 201 workshop/panel (virtual).
  • May 9 - Maker's Mart at Handmade Toledo (in-person)
  • May 10 - Right to Rest workshop/panel (virtual)
  • May 17 - English Paper Piecing Workshop (in-person)
  • May 23 - Fantasy Comics Roundtable (virtual)
Jamie and Friends do the wise thing, because they know when they're out of their league.

Charlie, Clow, Claudia and Don update each other on what's going on.

And also, Ben, Chloe and I FINALLY got to play Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse! You can catch the replay on his Twitch or YouTube channels.
I'm still available for commissions! AND my Ko-fi shop is open for the Great Art Migration!

When you're shopping the Ko-fi shop, use promo code MOVING at checkout to get 50% off everything (seriously, everything) in the Ko-fi shop! It all needs to go before I move to my new apartment, yo. All proceeds will help with the cost of the moving van and in case of any emergencies.

The sale lasts until May 8, 2026. Jump on these while you can!
That's all for now...
