Vanita and the Demon King is still running Friday updates. If you need to catch up on the story, check out the archives.
I mentioned it last week, but in case you missed it – find me this weekend at DC Zine Fest and the Richmond Indie Comics Expo! (More details about both events are on my website.)

At DC Zine Fest, I’ll be lurkin’ and trading zines with the other spooky attendees (unless I get off the waitlist and get a table. We’ll see what happens). At Richmond Indie Comics Expo, I’ll be tabling and showing off my work.

If you can make it to either of these events (or both?), then I will share with you a peek into my sketchbook. It’s a perk you get for being on my newsletter!

Not in the area? You can still find me online. In fact, The Legend of Jamie Roberts, volume 3 is still running on KickStarter! (More on that in a minute).
Lian goes to his friend Jessa and has an existential crisis.

The Legend of Jamie Roberts – the webcomic – is on a brief hiatus while the KickStarter is running. You can keep checking back on the official site for art updates, though!

Plus, you can catch my last livestream as a replay on YouTube. Feel free to let me body-double with you while I edit comic pages in the stream.

The Legend of Jamie Roberts, volume 3 has reached the 20-backer stretch goal! That means all backers will get an exclusive phone wallpaper!

We’re partway to our next stretch goal of 30 backers. If we can get there, then all backers will get an exclusive desktop wallpaper!

Can we make it to 40 backers? Because if we do, then we unlock a new minicomic!

Gonna repeat these first two from last week - The Columbus Cartoon Coalition’s Crowdfundr is still running. They’re crowdfunding for their new anthology, Hidden Histories of Ohio, and looking to unlock pay rates for their contributing artists. Check out the Crowdfundr while you can!

Speaking of Columbus-based artists, one of my comic buddies is running their own KickStarter for a JRPG-themed comic. It’s got two weeks left, so be sure to check it out!

Also, because of political malarkey in the United States, and because we’re closing in on the holidays, I know some folks are having a hard time affording food (I know it’s been a struggle for me for the last month and a half, so you’re not alone). Here are some food-related resources for my fellow American peeps to peruse (as shared by a fellow Cartoonist Co-op member):

https://mapping.littlefreepantry.org/

https://www.feedingamerica.org/

https://freedge.org/

https://www.mutualaidhub.org/

https://www.findhelp.org/

I’ve also found the YouTube channel Struggle Meals to be a really handy resource for feeding yourself on a budget! This channel inspired me to make a zine about cheap and easy food that’s not ramen. It’s still a work in progress. Until then, I have How to Make Eegyt’s Pepper Soup and The Himbo’s Guide to Cooking Chicken as free zine resources!

Speaking of food, one of my fellow comics creators is struggling to afford food and meds due to SNAP cuts. Here’s their PayPal info if you have the means to help them out.

That’s all for now...
