Buckle up, this email is going to be longer than usual. (That's what happens when I come back from a hiatus.)
I have the first of many BIG shake-ups to announce!
The short version: The Legend of Jamie Roberts will be on an extended hiatus. Vanita and the Demon King, when it comes back from hiatus, will begin updating twice a week. There is also potential for it to go to three times a week updates!

I made two announcements on my website. The first was the webcomic schedule change mentioned above.

As much as I love itch.io as a storefront, I'm now in the process of building my own store on the official Fantasyville Productions website. This is because I've been having censorship issues with Ko-fi, and itch.io has had one censorship scare already. I'm going to line up my dominoes so I can avoid the next one. (Turns out that being an out and queer person making comics makes you a target for censorship, which is highly annoying.) This is still a work in progress, but I'm hoping it will be ready before Thanksgiving this year. Stay tuned! Until then, my stuff will still be available on itch.io.

THAT SAID, I will be moving off of Ko-fi before the end of the year. For members who are still pledging on Ko-fi, this is your heads up! Start migrating over to my website so you don't lose your perks. There will be a patron-exclusive podcast that I'm ONLY posting on my website, as well!

Also! If you find censorship as annoying as I do, I've got some news for you - the US federal government is considering FOUR different kinds of censorship bills: HR 7661 and HR 8705 in the House of Representatives, and S 4925 and HR 2616 in the Senate. The other kicker is that if these bills become law, every state stands to lose hundreds of millions of dollars in Elementary and Secondary Education Act funding if they're found to be "ideologically noncompliant."
If you have 10 minutes or so to spare today, call your Reps and Senators and leave the following message:
"Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [STATE] [CITY, ZIP]. I'm calling to demand [SENATOR/REP] oppose , bills that will open the door for nationwide book banning in violation of our First Amendment. On top of that, our state stands to lose over $858 million in ESEA funding for our public schools if they’re found to be ideologically noncompliant. This is a blatant example of government overreach. The federal government should not be allowed to demand our state and local communities fall into line with an ideological mandate. We did not elect D.C. to be our school board. Thank you for your time and consideration."

IF LEAVING VOICEMAIL: Please leave your full street address to ensure your call is tallied.

If phone calls are too intimidating, write and send emails. Phone calls are more effective, so if you have the capacity to do that, please do.
