Vanita and the Demon King is still running Friday updates. If you need to catch up on the story, check out the archives.
Panel 1: Don puts his hear next to Claudia’s belly, closes his eyes, and smiles. Panel 2: Close up on his face. He says, “I can’t wait to hold them.” Panel 3: Close up on Claudia. She smiles and blushes. Panel 4: Don kisses Claudia’s belly and says, “Now be good for your mother.” Claudia smiles. Panel 5: Don gets to tidying up the bookcase by the register. Claudia tallies something on a clipboard. The shop is quiet.
Moving forward, I think there will be fewer conventions and in-person events in my schedule.

I have some shows booked for 2026, and some on my radar that I love to go to and hope to come back to (I'm just waiting to hear back from the organizers).

But Bash Con was last weekend. (More on that in a second). And it made me realize that I only have so much time and energy now that I'm no longer in my 20s. The day job has been keeping me busy, plus conventions are just not what they used to be. (The vibes around *gestures broadly at everything* don't help, either.) So I'm going to take some time to figure out some alternatives. Because if I plan on doing fewer conventions, what can take their place?

I think workshops are worth considering. I'm actually in talks with Handmade Toledo about putting together THREE different workshops this year! Plus there will be two virtual workshops coming up in May, and possibly some in September. Those will get announced the closer we get to those dates.

In the meantime...
Panel 1: Medium shot of Ranki, his hand on his hip and his head tilted all cocky as he grins and says, “Or WHAT? You will take my sword?” Panel 2: Ranki says, “You have TWO on your belt!” We see Jamie wielding one sword as the other, Mocktaw’ess Kass, is strapped on their other hip.
Thomas rolled highest on initiative!

Plus, looks like Claudia needs a break (and she also looks ready to pop!).

Over on my blog, I came back from Bash Con and gave a quick review of the show. TL;DR: locals only. And I have *notes*.
Sorry, still not open for commissions at the moment. Work at the day job has been keeping me extra busy.

That said, I'm hoping to get some new comics listed on the Ko-fi shop soon. The Legend of Jamie Roberts, volume 3 will hopefully be up next week. Plus, I got a new restock of volume 1 - with a return to the old printer! (Comix Wellspring does the best job with my colors.)
Junior has a new minicomic out! Get your tissues ready.

The Billy Ireland Museum of the Ohio State University is hosting a workshop! For all my fellow cartoonists out there, this workshop is all about the business side of comics. If you ever had questions about what you can write off on your taxes, how to keep track of expenses, and other business questions, this workshop is a must. It's happening Feb 21 at 2 pm EST virtually over Zoom. Here's where you can sign up to attend.

The Cartoonist Co-op and Crucial Comix have been sharing #IceOutComics on social media and their website, documenting cartoonists' encounters with ICE. Harrowing stuff, worth checking out.

That's all for now...
