Surprise! An Ignorance of Romance is going to be posted exclusively on the newsletter for this week and next, before it goes dark. For more info on why that is, check out the blog post I wrote about it. (For those of you who have been around for a few months, it has to do with ~more drama~ from the sibling. Go figure.)
In more pleasant updates, I just came back from RICE – hello to all the new folks who signed up for this newsletter! Thanks for joining!
My next event will be Nov 15 at Maker’s Mart, hosted by Handmade Toledo in Toledo, OH. While there, I’m going to bring my usual comics, plus some stuff I don’t normally take with me to conventions, like crafts and paintings.
After that, the next event will be Genghis Con Cleveland on Nov 30!

So now, if we reach 30 backers, then I will make a new mini-comic focused on Basho and Norsa (plus a NSFW short for folks who want it ~spicy~)! (We're already at 24 backers, so we just need 6 more!)
And if we make it to 40 backers, then I will make the mini-comic, “The Banishment of the Sun Dragon”!
Even $1 gets this campaign closer to these goals, so if you have the means, you can back the campaign now. But if you’re broke, share the link with your pirate- and dragon-loving friends!
I will be sending out a final reminder of this campaign when there’s 24 hours left. So be prepared for that.

In other updates from last week, you can catch up on An Ignorance of Romance on the official site.

Fellow zine maker Christina Tran is on KickStarter to bring “Dear Daughter” back in print! This zine is an exploration of family using letters and photo albums. One of the rewards for backing it is participating in a workshop run by Christina! Go check it out.

We Need Diverse Books is running a micro-grant program to help authors who have been affected by the SNAP cuts. (To qualify, one has to have been traditionally published. Sorry indie authors). More info is in this post.
