Vanita and the Demon King is still running Friday updates. If you need to catch up on the story, check out the archives.

YO! There are some changes coming.
To start, Vanita and the Demon King is on hiatus from today until October 2, 2026.
Then, The Legend of Jamie Roberts will go on hiatus from August 26 to September 30, 2026. (If that needs extended, I will let you know ASAP.) During that hiatus, though, keep checking back to the official site as I share some fanart by fans of the comic, and feature some behind-the-scenes sketches.
Since I have two comics going on hiatus soon, that means this newsletter will be updating less frequently. Rather than every week, I'm going to switch to every other week updates. At least, until the end of September. Because there are still games on Ben's Twitch channel I'm part of, as well as some secret comics I'd like to show you!
These changes are TEMPORARY. They will only last from today until the end of September. These changes are happening because I have been working 4 jobs since January, and it was only this month that two of them wrapped up. (One was a contract-based gig, the other has me laid off until October). The other two gigs allow for flexible hours. So I want to take some time off!

Thank you for your understanding and support. Now, before I forget...

Also, there's ~drama~ over with Vanita and the Demon King.

I'm still fundraising for reprinting The Legend of Jamie Roberts, volume 2! Be sure to check out my Ko-fi, my itch shop, and my commissions if you would like to get some comics (and art!) and support a genderqueer pirate adventure.
The Cartoonist United Great Outdoors Bundle is now running on itch.io! Support an organization dedicated to better working conditions for cartoonists, and get some heckin' cool comics in return. (Some comics are for Mature Readers Only!)
Keep an eye on the horizon for another bundle coming soon, featuring not only Vanita and the Demon King, but also old favorites Seeing Him AND Validation!

Lately I've been listening to a lot of musicians on Bandcamp. (Don't be surprised if I make a zine about this.) So this week I want to shout-out some groups I've found:
"UFO" by Wife Patrol. An Indianapolis-based alt rock group, I love their sound on their album NOPLACE. UFO is more of a bop than it has any right to be. But if you want something with more ukulele, try their track "323."
